True craftsmanship... Solid timber furniture requires specialised construction methods, taking into account the nature of the materials used. Starting with the selection of the timber, each stage of construction is approached with meticulous care. Boards are chosen with careful attention to the position they will be placed, to ensure a visual balance of figure and harmony of colour variation. This process enhances the design and makes each piece unique.
The timber is joined using techniques developed by generations of cabinet makers. Mortise and tenon, dovetails and bridle are commonplace in our construction process and, when combined with modern adhesives, they are a guarantee that your furniture will last for generations. The finished piece is then numbered with a brass plate and registered in our archive. |
